Our Christmas

Well, we weren't too great at pulling out the camera this season. But here's what we do have.
Helping dad put up the Christmas tree
Meeting Santa for the first time!

Not a fan.
At Brent's work party, every kid got to go up and get a present from Santa. But they couldn't open their presents until every kid had their turn with Santa. This was hard for some of the kids, but not Trooper. He was plenty happy climbing all over his present.

Time to open!

Pretty awesome present for a work party! Actually, the whole party was great.

Trooper loved the Christmas tree. December nights with the Christmas tree all lit up are my absolute favorite!

Tucanos with the Lambsons for Christmas Eve! Yumm!

Then we went to see some amazing Christmas lights.

And another opportunity to meet Santa. Still not a fan.

Better. But just a little bit.
Brent and I both loved sleeping by the Christmas tree when we were younger. A couple nights before Christmas, Brent surprised me by pulling our big king-sized mattress out to the living room so we could sleep by the lights. Love!

Trooper thought it was pretty fun too.
Here was the scene on Christmas morning. You can tell Santa had come because he hung the traditional candy canes on the tree.

After Christmas, we'd find Trooper hiding behind the tree, sucking on a candy cane that he had been able to reach and pull down.

I don't have any pictures of the big celebration at Grandma and Grandpa Brady's house on Christmas afternoon, but I do have this cute little video for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy.

Our 2012 Christmas Card and Letter:

2012 has been good to our little family! Brent graduated from BYU-Hawaii in June and we left our beautiful island behind to come home to Idaho. While returning to Hawaii is very near the top of our to-do list, we are loving every minute of being close to family again. Trooper turned one in November and keeps us on our toes. He’s quite the walker and talker and leaves us smiling almost constantly. Brent is busy working two jobs while he applies to medical schools across the country. We’ll see where we end up! I (Janelle) enjoy staying home with Troop, watching our nephew a couple days a week, and occasionally helping out at the dental office. We are loving life together and wish the same for all of you. Merry Christmas dear friends! We love you and hope to see you soon.

Trooper 1 Year

Around Trooper's 1st birthday, we went out in my parents backyard to take some quick 1-Year pictures of my cute little boy. But, being his usual self, Trooper refused to sit still, pose at all, or even look at the camera (believe me, we tried all sorts of distractions and noise-making). Luckily, with Stacy's amazing photographer skills,we still got some really cute pictures.
