Some Videos

As promised, here are some videos we've taken of Trooper. Excuse my baby voice. I sound silly, but hey, most people do when they're talking to babies.

I was going through some videos on Brent's computer and found these videos from when Trooper was a newborn. I can't believe how much he has changed already!

Trooper is 5 days old in this one.

He's 18 days old in this one.

And now look at him. 12 weeks in this one.

13 weeks in this one. Holdin' his head up and everything.

I love waking him up in the mornings. He's full of smiles. Even if he's twisted himself around so he has no room to move in his bed. 13 weeks.

And 15 weeks in this one. He loves it when we blow on his face.

Pictures and Milestones

I find my camera is almost always full of pictures nowadays, so I just need to unload and post. I feel like Trooper is growing a ton and learning new things every single day. So here goes...

13 Weeks: Trooper has found his hands. For a few days, he just stared at them.

14 Weeks: He's figured out how to grab everything and immediately moves it to his mouth.

Because he can grab and hold onto his own toys now, he can keep himself entertained for quite a while.

15 Weeks: He's found his thumb and is sucking on it almost constantly.

Also, within the past couple days, he's been working on rolling over. He's rolled from tummy to back once, and back to tummy twice.

Until that's mastered, he's spending a lot of time on his sides.

He's happy to sit in his bumbo for up to 10 minutes at a time now.
Other than that, he spends his time smiling and laughing and just looking cute. He'll smile at anyone who smiles at him, so he wins hearts all over the place.

People always tell me that Trooper looks a lot like Brent, but that he has my lips. I've heard from a few people that he looks a lot like his Grandpa Lambson. The Lambson boy gene is really strong; all of Brent's uncles and cousins have a similar look, you know immediately that they're a Lambson. Looks like Trooper will fit right in! Plus people are always saying that he looks like a little man, not a baby. Maybe it's the lack of chubby cheeks... I don't know. Either way, he's the cutest baby I've ever seen.

..Videos coming soon..

(almost) 3 Months

Trooper will be 3 months old in 5 days. I've just got so many cute pictures and videos that I can't wait that long to post them. He doesn't have a doctor's appointment this month so I don't know his stats, but I've been looking at him today and can't believe how big and long he's getting! At the same time, I can't believe he's only been with us for 3 months; it seems like he's always been with us. Gosh we just love him. And if he isn't the most handsome little thing!

Within the past couple weeks, Trooper has started "talking" to us a lot. He watches us move our lips and then he moves his around too while using his little voice. He's definitely learning to use his voice more. It's cute most the time, but also makes for some louder and longer screams... He's averaging up to 10-11 hours of sleep at nights now. And he's smiling a ton. Today he even laughed for the first two times; once while I was pretending to eat his feet and once when I tickled his face with the end of my braid. Hopefully I can get it on video soon.

And here are the pictures and videos - all taken at around 11 and 12 weeks.
Talking to Daddy. See how he's imitating Brent's lips? So cute.

His new thing is sucking on his fist. Works pretty well as a pacifier.

He's using his hands a lot more too. I've noticed him actually looking at his hands the past couple days. I think he's about to discover how cool they are.

Talking to Dad. Sorry it's sideways.. apparently there's a specific way I have to hold the iPhone, which I just can't figure out.
