8 Months!

This post is a couple weeks late but Trooper is now 8 months old! It's been an eventful month for him. He started crawling, eating some grown-up food, took three long road trips (and he's such a champ on them!), went camping for the first time, went boating for the first time, got his first cold, met lots of cousins, and spends lots of time with his grandmas and grandpas! He's also started fake coughing when we cough and he loves to whistle! The dry Idaho weather has brought out his eczema so we made a trip to the doctor and discovered that he's only 7th percentile for weight! 15 lbs. 13 oz. So he's still a little guy, but the doctors don't seem worried so I'm not either. Especially because I've seen how much this kid can eat.

Last month I talked about his expressive little face. Pretty sure he gets that from me. My mom always tells me to be careful because my face shows exactly what I'm thinking. Well, I think Trooper's does that too. Here's a little sample. I get this face just about every time I feed him something besides oatmeal, sweet potatoes, apple sauce, and cheerios.

Here he is in the first few moments when he decided to try crawling instead of scooting.Cute huh?!

And here he's showing off his whistling skills! I'm super impressed.

 And some pictures...
He's still climbing on everything, but now he's learned to let himself down gently, rather than crashing. Thank goodness!

He's gotten so used to tucking his knees up under him to crawl that sometimes he falls asleep in that position and his little bum sticks up in the air. Cutest thing ever.

Meeting cousin Ty, who's only 7 weeks older than Troop. Destined to be best friends.

Camping at the Brady Family Reunion.

Sleeping in his own little tent next to our air mattress.

The 4 youngest Brady grandkids:
Trooper (8 months), Ty (9 months), Zoe (3 months), Halle (1 month)
These 4 will all be in the same grade. Isn't that fun?!

    1. I think you can find them at Target, definitely online and Target.com. They're called KidCo PeaPod Portable Tents. So cute and handy! And it just pops open, no messing with poles or anything. Easy peasy.

  4. Oh my gosh the crawling video is adorable! I love the little tent. That would be so nice. I can't decide whether Jack would love it or hate it, though. And oh gosh, the little Brady babies? That is the cutest thing in the whole world. Love it! Can't wait to see them all as they grow up. I love how chill little Zoe looks and then there's Trooper who just wants to get out and move.
